At today's group meeting of the AK Party, with the participation of President Erdogan, it is expected that 4 more mayors, 2 from the CHP, 1 from the Yeniden Refah Party, and 1 from the Saadet Party, will join the AK Party.
While cross-party transitions continue in local governments, the AK Party is preparing to welcome 4 more mayors into its ranks at today's group meeting. With these additions, the number of municipalities that have switched to the party is expected to reach 70.
ERDOĞAN WILL PIN THE BADGES
At the group meeting to be held by the AK Party, 4 mayors, 2 from the CHP, 1 from the New Welfare Party, and 1 from the Felicity Party, are expected to join the party. According to a report by Türkiye Newspaper, President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will pin the badges on the mayors.
WHICH MAYORS ARE JOINING?
The names expected to join the AK Party and their duty stations are as follows:
- Antalya Serik Mayor Kadir Kumbul (CHP)
- Niğde Çiftlik's Bozköy Mayor Muammer Çelikbaş (CHP)
- Tokat central's Çat Mayor Ali Pelit (New Welfare Party)
- Muş central's Yaygın Mayor Selahattin Yalçın (Felicity Party)
SERİK MAYOR RESIGNED FROM HIS PARTY
On the other hand, Antalya Serik Mayor Kadir Kumbul announced that he resigned from the CHP. Claims that Kumbul would join the AK Party had previously been on the agenda.
