DUTY STATIONS OF 430 CIVIL ADMINISTRATORS CHANGED
With Presidential Decree No. 2026/148 published in the Official Gazette dated June 17, the duty stations of a total of 430 civil administrators working in the central and provincial organization of the Ministry of Interior were changed.
While the duty stations of many district governors and deputy governors were changed under the decree, one of the notable names was District Governor Tuğçe Orhan, who served in the Ladik district of Samsun.
"BARBIE GOVERNOR" BECAME DEPUTY GOVERNOR
Tuğçe Orhan, known to the public as the "Barbie Governor," was appointed to the position of Burdur Deputy Governor with the published decree.
Orhan had previously come to the fore with some posts on social media. While some users compared the young governor's appearance to famous toy characters, the issue was debated for a long time.
CONTROVERSIES ALSO MADE IT TO THE POLITICAL AGENDA
The comments in question also resonated in the political world. AK Party Kayseri Deputy Ayşe Böhürler reacted to a female civil administrator being evaluated based on her physical appearance.
In her statement, Böhürler emphasized that female managers should be highlighted for their achievements, saying, "If a male district governor makes news for his success, a female district governor should also make news for her success. Not based on beauty criteria. It is a highly discriminatory language."
HER NEW DUTY IN BURDUR
With the latest appointment decision, Tuğçe Orhan was assigned from the position of Ladik District Governor to the role of Burdur Deputy Governor.
