Turkey has set a record in defense industry exports.

The President of the Defense Industry, Haluk Görgün, announced that they achieved an export of 820 million dollars in October, marking a 61% increase, and that exports reached 5 billion 125 million dollars in the first 10 months of 2024. The defense industry is strengthening Turkey's international position by making a competitive transition in global markets.

Defense Industry President Haluk Görgün, in a statement made on his social media account, evaluated Turkey's export successes in the defense and aerospace sector. Görgün emphasized the competitiveness of the defense industry in global markets.

Highlighting that Turkey has set a new record according to October figures, Görgün continued his statement as follows: "Our defense industry continues to progress successfully in global markets. In October, our sector achieved an export of 820 million dollars, with a 61% increase compared to the same period last year, maintaining this momentum throughout the year and reaching a level of 5 billion 125 million dollars with an 18% increase in the first 10 months of 2024. In the past year, our exports increased by 15%, reaching 6 billion 326 million dollars."

DEFENSE EXPORT TO 185 COUNTRIES

"As the Presidency of the Defense Industry, we aim to achieve a permanent increase in the export of high value-added products. Our companies, which export to all corners of the world, set a new record by exporting products to 185 different countries in 2024. Our goal is to strengthen our large-scale companies and SMEs in export markets and ensure sectoral sustainability. In this regard, we will continue to increase our cooperation activities worldwide. Our defense industry continues to be a source of pride with its global success."
