Turkey's Ambassador to Malta, Erdeniz Şen, passed away at the age of 51 in the hospital where he was receiving treatment. Following Şen's death, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs shared a condolence message.
The Ambassador of Turkey to Malta, Erdeniz Şen, had been receiving treatment in the hospital for a while. The 51-year-old Şen passed away in Ankara, where he was being treated.
CONDOLENCE MESSAGE FROM THE MINISTRY
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a condolence message due to the passing of Şen, who had served in the foreign affairs organization for many years.
In the ministry's message, it was stated, "We are deeply saddened by the loss of our esteemed member of the community, Erdeniz Şen, who has been serving in our ministry since 1996 and represented our state as the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Malta. We wish God's mercy upon the deceased and offer our condolences to his grieving family."
It was reported that information regarding Erdeniz Şen's funeral ceremony would be provided later.
WHO IS ERDENİZ ŞEN?
Born on July 12, 1974, in Ankara, Erdeniz Şen graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences at Ankara University in 1996 and started his career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the same year. Şen held various positions, including Ambassador in the central organization and Deputy General Director of Foreign Policy Coordination, and also took on various roles in the Presidential Office and the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
As part of his overseas assignments, Şen served in various roles at the embassies in Bahrain, Rome, and Washington, and served as Turkey's Consul General in Toronto from 2017 to 2021. On December 9, 2022, he was appointed as the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Valletta (Malta).
