Turkey's benchmark stock index closed Tuesday at 1,809.65 points, up 0.05% from the previous close.
After starting the day at 1,803.91 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 0.86 point from the previous close of 1,808.79 points.
The index's lowest value during the day was 1,797.16 points, while its daily high was 1,818.79 points.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 1.46 trillion Turkish liras ($115.5 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 35.4 billion Turkish liras ($2.7 billion).
While 52 stocks on the index rose, 43 fell during the day, and five remained unchanged compared to Monday's close.
The highest trading volumes were posted by defense company Aselsan, private lender Garanti BBVA, and gold miner Koza Altin.
Agricultural insecticide producer Hektas was the best performer with its shares up 9.97%, while stocks of pharmaceutical firm Turk Ilac Serum saw the sharpest drop, 5.85%.
One ounce of gold traded for $1,792.60 by market close, up from $1,789.50 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was down 3.4% to $70.74 per barrel as of 6.49 p.m. local time (1549GMT).
