Turkey's benchmark stock index opened at 1,088.91 points on Tuesday, up 0.17% or 1.88 points from the previous close.At Monday's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was down 2.24% at 1,087.03 points, with a daily trading volume of 16.8 billion Turkish liras ($2.20 billion).The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate increased to 7.6450 as of 9: 30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), compared to 7.6250 at the previous close.The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also rose to 8.9760 from 8.9620, while one British pound traded for 9.7960 Turkish liras, down from 9.8480.One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $41.54 as of 10 a.m. local time . -
