Turkish Stocks Flat At Thursday's Open

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index remains stable at opening session compared to previous close.

Turkey's benchmark stock index opened at 1,519.05 points on Thursday, marginally down 0.01% or 0.20 points from the previous close.

At midweek's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 0.67% to 1,519.25 points, with a daily trading volume of 23.9 billion Turkish liras ($2.5 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 9.5200 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), versus 9.5180 on Wednesday's close.

The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 11.0500, slightly up from 11.0470, while one British pound was traded for 13.1050 Turkish liras, up from 13.0960.

One barrel of Brent crude oil was sold for around $82.87 as of 10 a.m. local time . -
