Turkish Stocks Up At Friday's Open

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gains 3.2 points from previous close.

Turkey's benchmark stock index opened Friday at 1,413.99 points, rising 0.23% or 3.20 points from the previous close.

At Thursday's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 0.60% at 1,410.79 points, with a daily trading volume of 11.9 billion Turkish liras ($1.38 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 8.7000 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Friday, slightly down from 8.7040.

One euro traded for 10.3900 Turkish liras, versus 10.3990, while British pound/Turkish lira exchange rate fell to 12.1200 from 12.1500.

One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $75.60 as of 10 a.m. local time . -
