Turkiye's BIST 100 Index Down At Wednesday Open

BIST 100 index falls over 4 points from previous close.

Turkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 2,390.78 points on Wednesday, falling 4.06 points, or 0.17%, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 0.17% to end Tuesday at 2,394.83 points, with a daily trading volume of 33.6 billion Turkish liras ($2.1 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 15.9400 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT), up from 15.7600 at Monday's close.

The euro/lira exchange rate increased to 16.7662 from 16.5990, while a British pound traded for 19.8000 liras, up from 19.7270 at the last close.

Brent crude oil was sold for around $112.06 per barrel as of 10 a.m. local time. -
