Turkiye's benchmark stock index ended Thursday at 2,070.65 points, up 0.31% from the previous close.
Starting the day at 2,057.47 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 6.44 points from Wednesday's close of 2,064.21 points.
The index's lowest value during the day was 2,054.48 points, while its daily high was 2,086.96 points, with a daily trading volume of 40.1 billion Turkish liras ($3 billion).
A total of 38 stocks on the index rose during the day, 58 fell, and the remaining were unchanged compared to Wednesday's close.
The highest trading volumes were posted by national flag carrier Turkish Airlines, and iron and steel producers Kardemir and Eregli.
Shares of a real estate investment company IS GMYO performed the best with a 10% increase, while stocks of pharmaceutical company Genil saw the largest decline, 3.75%.
One ounce of gold traded for $1,828.75 by the day's end, up from $1,819.85 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was $84.44 per barrel as of 6.10 p.m. local time (1510GMT).
