The Mayor of Aksu, İsa Yıldırım, who resigned from the CHP, and the Mayor of Sarayönü, Necati Koç, who resigned from the New Welfare Party, joined the AK Party. The badges were presented to both individuals by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The Mayor of Aksu district in Antalya, İsa Yıldırım, and the Mayor of Sarayönü in Konya, Necati Koç, have resigned from their parties and joined the AK Party. Both individuals had been serving independently for a while.
During the membership ceremony held at the AK Party Group Meeting, President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan personally presented the party badges to İsa Yıldırım and Necati Koç. Erdoğan congratulated both mayors on their new memberships.
"I INTEND TO JOIN THE AK PARTY," HE SAID
After resigning from the CHP, İsa Yıldırım, who continued his duties independently, responded to claims about joining the AK Party in a statement he made a few weeks ago.
Yıldırım stated, "Yes, I intend to join," regarding the matter.
"A MAYOR DOES NOT FIGHT WITH THE STATE"
Stating that his aim is to serve Aksu, Yıldırım said, "A mayor does not fight with the state," accusing the CHP administration of conflicting with state institutions.
NECATİ KOÇ LEFT THE NEW WELFARE PARTY AGAIN
Another individual who joined the AK Party is Sarayönü Mayor Necati Koç. Koç, who left the New Welfare Party, was also presented his badge by President Erdoğan, announcing his membership.
