Two women in the U.S. were removed from a flight for wearing crop tops. On a Spirit Airlines flight, a flight attendant asked the women to cover up. Teresa Araujo and her friend Tara had taken off their cardigans because the plane was hot. As the argument escalated, the plane turned back, and the women were removed. Although other passengers defended them, the supervisor did not change the decision. Spirit Airlines cited dress code rules as the reason. The incident was shared on social media and sparked a debate about airline policies.

On October 4th, an unexpected incident occurred on a Spirit Airlines flight from Los Angeles to New Orleans. Teresa Araujo (34) and her friend Tara were traveling to celebrate a friend's birthday.

The women were asked by a male flight attendant to "cover up" shortly after boarding the plane. Teresa and Tara were wearing jeans, a crop top, and a cardigan. They had removed their cardigans due to the heat on the plane.

After the flight attendant's insistence and the escalation of the argument, the plane returned before takeoff, and the two women were removed from the aircraft. Although other passengers tried to defend the women, a female supervisor stated that they needed to disembark.

Teresa shared her experience on social media and recorded the incident. She claimed that she wanted to see Spirit Airlines' dress code but that it was not shown to them.

After being removed from the flight, the women were told they would be placed on another flight, but this did not happen. Teresa had to purchase a new ticket from Delta Airlines and had to wait for an additional five hours.

A Spirit Airlines spokesperson stated that the company has specific dress standards in its Contract of Carriage and said they are investigating the incident.

This incident has sparked discussions about airlines' dress policies and passenger rights.
