Ufuk Özkan, who has been struggling with liver failure for a long time, underwent an organ transplant. The first statement after the 11-hour surgery came from his brother Umut Özkan and his doctor Cenk Şimşek. While Umut Özkan expressed that he is very happy, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cenk Şimşek said, "There are currently no negative developments."

THE SURGERY LASTED 11 HOURS
It was learned that the life-saving surgery lasted approximately 11 hours. Associate Professor Dr. Cenk Şimşek, who made a statement after the operation, stated that the patient was taken to intensive care, saying, "We are now taking our patient to intensive care. We will continue to closely monitor the process from now on. There are currently no negative developments."
FIRST STATEMENT FROM HIS BROTHER
The first statement regarding Ufuk Özkan's health condition came from his brother, Umut Özkan. Making a statement on his social media account, Umut Özkan shared his joy with the words, "The news is great, thank God. I will literally fly with happiness, my God, you are great. Get well soon."
ACTOR FRIEND BECAME THE DONOR
It was learned that the name of the donor in the surgery was Ufuk Özkan's friend Salih Kıvırcık, with whom he had previously worked on the same project. Kıvırcık also shared a photo from the hospital room on his social media account after the operation. In his post, he noted, "Our 11-hour surgery is over. Now a challenging process awaits us."
PRE-SURGERY MESSAGE HAD CAUGHT ATTENTION
Before the surgery, Ufuk Özkan shared a photo taken with Salih Kıvırcık, stating that he was in high spirits, saying, "I have no fear; I am ready, patient, and hopeful." Thanking everyone who supported him, Özkan said of Salih Kıvırcık, "He is no longer just a travel companion, but a piece of my soul, my own brother." Özkan also thanked his brothers Umut and Alper Özkan, the doctors managing the process, and the healthcare workers.
PARTICIPATED IN MANY PROJECTS
Born on April 11, 1975, in Germany and raised there, Ufuk Özkan returned to Turkey permanently with his family at the age of 12. Completing his education in Samsun, Özkan graduated from the Theater Department of Istanbul University State Conservatory in 2001.
Özkan, who took part in many projects such as "Oflu Hoca," "Emret Komutanım," "Cenazemize Hoşgeldiniz," "Aile Terbiyesi," and "Adalet," gained fame with the character "Cevahir" in the series "Geniş Aile," which aired from 2009 to 2011.
Özkan married Nazan Güneş in 2005 and has a son named Eren. The famous couple ended their marriage in 2022.
