Uğur Kabaağaç (45), who stabbed to death his 73-year-old mother Hülya Aktaş and 42-year-old brother Hüseyin Kabaağaç after an argument broke out at home in the Yunusemre district of Manisa, was arrested. The suspect, who called his older sister while fleeing and said, "I killed my mother and my brother," and who was learned to have previously received psychological treatment, said during questioning that he did not remember the incident.

HE ATTACKED WITH A KNIFE HE TOOK FROM THE KITCHEN
The incident occurred yesterday around 08:30 in an apartment on the 3rd floor of a 5-storey building located at 3316th Street, Ayniali Neighborhood. An argument broke out for a still undetermined reason between Uğur Kabaağaç, who came home, and his mother Hülya Aktaş and brother Hüseyin Kabaağaç. The argument quickly turned into a fight. Uğur Kabaağaç stabbed his mother and brother with a knife he took from the kitchen. While fleeing, Uğur Kabaağaç called his sister on the phone and said, "I killed my mother and brother." Upon his sister's report, many health and police teams were dispatched to the address. In the check by the medical team, it was determined that the mother and son had lost their lives. The bodies of Hülya Aktaş and her son were taken to the morgue of Manisa Merkezefendi State Hospital Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy.

Kabaağaç, who killed his mother and brother, was caught near his home the same day. Kabaağaç, who was learned to have received treatment some time ago due to psychological problems, said in his interrogation that he did not remember why they argued and that he killed his mother and brother. Kabaağaç, who was referred to the courthouse after police procedures, was arrested in the court he was brought before.
