Ukraine's increased drone attacks on Russian territory and around the Baltic Sea have prompted the Moscow administration to take new measures. According to recent claims, Russian President Vladimir Putin's superyacht, valued at approximately 100 million pounds, has been relocated to the Arctic region under heavy military security to protect it from drone attacks.
The war between Ukraine and Russia is now showing its effects not only on the front line but also on strategic targets thousands of kilometers away. According to a report by the British newspaper The Telegraph, based on maritime intelligence and satellite imagery, Russian President Vladimir Putin's 82-meter superyacht "Graceful" (renamed Kosatka), valued at approximately 100 million pounds, is being removed from European waters due to Ukraine's growing drone threat in the Baltic Sea and taken to the port of Murmansk in Russia's Arctic region.
TRAVELING UNDER TIGHT MILITARY PROTECTION
According to Automatic Identification System (AIS) data and military satellite imagery, the superyacht's journey is not an ordinary voyage. Anti-drone protection nets have been placed around the yacht to counter potential unmanned aerial and maritime vehicle attacks.
The superyacht is being escorted by the Russian Navy's Udaloy-class destroyer "Severomorsk" and the approximately 7,500-ton "Voevoda" rescue and patrol vessel. Thus, the yacht is advancing toward the Arctic within a strong military protection circle.
NATO CLOSELY MONITORED
According to the report, the convoy was closely tracked by the German and Danish navies during its passage through the Baltic Sea. Information confirmed by a senior NATO official indicates that the ships were last seen off the coast of Tromsø in northern Norway and have continued their advance toward the Arctic region from there.
According to Russian media, this massive yacht, whose new name means "killer whale," is generally used by Alena Kabayeva, who is often presented as Putin's lover.
Kosatka features an indoor swimming pool that transforms into a theater and dance floor, a helicopter pad, and suites for 12 people. The vessel also includes a wine cellar capable of storing approximately 400 bottles and a special suite for the host.
