The match between Yeni Malatyaspor and Isparta 32 Spor was suspended by referee Ahmet Resuloğlu without being played, as the home team could only field 7 players. Due to a betting investigation by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), 7 players received suspensions, and Yeni Malatyaspor was unable to field a full squad due to injuries, leading to the cancellation of the match when they could not start with 11 players.
In the 14th week of the 2nd League Red Group, the match between Yeni Malatyaspor and Isparta 32 Spor faced a rare situation in football history. The Malatya team could only take the field with 7 players due to penalties and injuries.
As part of the betting investigation conducted by the TFF, 7 players received a ban, and combined with the existing injuries, there was no possibility to complete the squad.
REFEREE RESULOĞLU SUSPENDED THE MATCH
Before the match, referee Ahmet Resuloğlu held a meeting on the field with Yeni Malatyaspor Sports Director Sinan Alkış and Isparta 32 Spor Club Manager Emrah Çelik. Alkış informed the referee that they would not be able to take the field with 11 players.
As the starting time arrived, Resuloğlu suspended the match with a historic decision due to the lack of the required number of players and headed to the locker room.
