Unseen photos of Iranian religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who lost his life in the US-Israel attacks, have emerged. Khamenei had held the position of "Leader," the highest decision-making authority in Iran, for 37 years.

US President Trump announced on February 28 that the religious leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed in the attacks they launched against Iran in conjunction with Israel. Iranian state television also stated that Khamenei had lost his life, using the expression, "The leader of the Iranian Islamic revolution has reached martyrdom." Following Khamenei's death, a 40-day national mourning period and a 7-day official holiday were declared in Iran.

Khamenei, who was born on April 19, 1939, in the city of Mashhad in northeastern Iran, had a father, Ayatollah Javad Khamenei, who was a cleric of Azerbaijani origin. His family belonged to the Azerbaijani Turkish community in Iran.

Khamenei, known as one of the closest collaborators of Ayatollah Khomeini, became a key figure in the construction of the new regime by holding critical positions such as Minister of Defense and two terms as President during the post-revolutionary process.

Since 1989, Khamenei has been the "Leader," the highest decision-making authority in Iran, leaving significant marks on both domestic and foreign policy, and previously unseen photographs of him have emerged.
