"AN ADDITIONAL RAILWAY NEED HAS ARISEN"

In a statement made a few days ago, Minister Uraloğlu noted that while uninterrupted railway transportation between Asia and Europe is provided thanks to Marmaray, sufficient capacity for mainline freight and passenger transport could not be achieved due to the intensity of urban passenger transport, stating that an additional double-track railway need has arisen to ensure uninterrupted freight and passenger transportation.
