The Israeli army admitted that it targeted an ambulance and a fire truck that came to the region to rescue those injured in the attack on the city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip on March 17.
THEY FIRED AFTER SEEING A SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE
In a statement from the Israeli army, it was noted that Israeli forces opened fire on the ambulance and fire truck, which they deemed "suspicious," during the attack in the Tel Sultan area of Rafah.
The statement included, "After the initial investigation, it was determined that some of the suspicious vehicles were an ambulance and a fire truck."
PALESTINIAN RED CRESCENT: NO NEWS FROM 9 HEALTH WORKERS
In a statement made today by the Palestinian Red Crescent, it was announced that there has been no news from 9 health workers since March 17, and that Israel has deliberately obstructed access to health personnel. The statement indicated that Israel is held responsible for the lives of the missing workers and that it was reported that the teams were under heavy fire at the last contact and that there were injuries.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The Palestinian Red Crescent lost contact with 9 health workers who went to the region to rescue those injured in the Israeli bombardment in Tel Sultan on Sunday, March 17.
On the same day, contact was also lost with 5 members of the civil defense team. On Thursday, March 21, after permission was granted for search operations, it was reported that the dismembered body of one of the missing persons was found.
Meanwhile, the Government Media Office in Gaza announced that Israeli forces had detained 15 health and civil defense personnel.
