According to the decision published in the Official Gazette, a series of changes have been made to facilitate the work of vehicle owners. With the published regulation change, the renewal of lost vehicle license plates can now be carried out through e-Government. According to the regulation published under the title 'Regulation on the Implementation of Vehicle Sales, Transfer, and Registration Services', the processes that were previously conducted through notaries and other institutions are now being moved to the digital environment. DIGITAL ERAWith the currently applied method, owners of lost plates declare the loss of the plate by applying to a notary, and then complete the procedures at the Traffic Branch Directorate to obtain the plate printing document. Afterward, they could go to the Drivers' Chamber with this document to have a new plate printed. In the new regulation, this process is completely digitized. According to the information in the Official Gazette, the following transactions can be performed through e-Government; creating a license plate printing request document, updating contact information, and generating a vehicle summary registration information report.
