A state ceremony was held at Imam Khomeini Musalla Mosque in Tehran for Iran's former leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed in the attack launched by the US and Israel on February 28. Türkiye's Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz attended the ceremony. Yılmaz recited a prayer in front of Khamenei's coffin.

CEVDET YILMAZ ATTENDED ON BEHALF OF TURKEY
Attending the ceremony from Turkey were Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, TBMM Turkey-Iran Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Chairman Kayhan Türkmenoğlu, TBMM Administrative Officer Hasan Turan, Deputy Foreign Minister Musa Kulaklıkaya, and Turkey's Ambassador to Tehran Hicabi Kırlangıç.

After reciting a prayer in front of Khamenei's coffin, Yılmaz and the delegation left the area.
Also present at the ceremony held for Khamenei were representatives of the Republican People's Party, Felicity Party, Great Unity Party, New Welfare Party, Free Cause Party, Future Party, and Homeland Party.
Approximately 100 countries were represented by heads of government and parliaments, foreign ministers, and special representatives of governments at the condolence ceremony.
