Heavy rainfall that has been effective in Tunceli in recent days has caused turbidity in the city's drinking water sources. Tunceli Municipality warned citizens not to drink or use tap water in meals until analyses are completed and the water becomes completely clear.

Tunceli Municipality announced that the tap water, which has become turbid due to heavy rain, should not be drunk or used for cooking.

"DO NOT DRINK OR USE FOR COOKING UNTIL THE WATER IS COMPLETELY CLEAR"

In a statement from the municipality, it was noted that temporary turbidity occurred in the drinking water sources supplying the Atatürk, Cumhuriyet, İnönü, and Harçik neighborhoods due to recent heavy rainfall. It was stated that this situation has temporarily affected the quality of the tap water.

The statement recorded the following: "For precautionary purposes, it is recommended not to use the tap water for drinking and cooking until controls and analyses are completed and the water becomes completely clear. During this process, it is appropriate to use the water for cleaning and hygiene purposes."

The statement also reported that municipal teams continue cleaning, maintenance, and control work on water tanks and network lines.
