The perpetrators of the Israeli rabbi killed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) were caught in Turkey. Three suspects of Uzbek nationality were extradited to the UAE. The UAE thanked Turkey for its cooperation. Meanwhile, it was claimed that Kogan was a war theorist. The killers of the Israeli rabbi Tzvi Kogan, who was murdered in the United Arab Emirates, were caught in Turkey. Security sources reported that the killers were apprehended in a secret operation conducted by the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) and the police. UAE GOVERNMENT REQUESTED HELP FROM TURKEYIn a statement from security sources, the following was mentioned:"Since 2020, the UAE government has requested help from Turkey after it was determined that three citizens of Uzbekistan had fled after killing Rabbi KOGAN, who operated a kosher market in Dubai. Upon the request for assistance, MIT quickly began efforts to capture the perpetrators who killed the rabbi. The operation, initiated by identifying which flight they were on, was conducted very secretly to avoid any suspicion. THEY WERE TRACKED STEP BY STEPAs the individuals landed in Istanbul, law enforcement also got involved. To prevent any chaos, the taxi the killers were expected to take from the airport was tracked step by step by MIT and the police. THEY WERE CAUGHT RED-HANDEDThe taxi they were traveling in was stopped for a traffic check, and as a result of the identity check conducted by the police, three individuals with a search record from the UAE were apprehended. 28-year-old Alimbay TAHIROVİÇ, 28-year-old Mahmudcan ABDURRAHİM, and 33-year-old Azizbek KAMİLOVİÇ, who committed the crime, were extradited to the UAE, the country where the crime was committed. The Republic of Turkey will continue its sensitive efforts to ensure that no criminals find refuge within its borders as part of its fight against terrorism." WAS THE KILLED RABBI A WAR THEORIST?Kogan operated a kosher supermarket on the busy Al Wasl Street in Dubai. As a representative of the Orthodox Jewish organization Chabad, Kogan provided support to thousands of Jewish visitors and resident Jews in the UAE. It was alleged that Kogan was a war theorist and supported genocide. The Rimon Market operated by Kogan had been the target of online protests by supporters of Palestine for the past year. It was observed that the mezuzahs on the doors of the market, which was closed on Sunday, had been removed.
