Abdullah Cevdet Yeşil, the father of 11-year-old Adnan Göktürk Yeşil who lost his life in the armed attack at a school in Kahramanmaraş yesterday, stated that his only child, whom he lost, was successful and hardworking, saying, 'I had a child who was faithful, honest, and loved his country and nation very much.' Regarding the moment of the incident, Abdullah Cevdet Yeşil said, 'The incident occurred while the math teacher was giving a lesson in the classroom. First, the suspect shoots the math teacher, then martyrs the children.'
Abdullah Cevdet Yeşil, the father of 11-year-old Adnan Göktürk Yeşil who lost his life in the armed attack at a school in Kahramanmaraş yesterday, stated that his only child, whom he lost, was successful and hardworking, saying, "I had a child who was faithful, honest, and loved his country and nation very much."
A condolence tent was set up in front of the paternal home of Yeşil, one of the students who lost their lives in the armed attack carried out by İsa Aras Mersinli at Ayser Çalık Middle School in the Onikişubat district, in the Düziçi district of Osmaniye. Relatives and citizens who went to the tent offered condolences to father Abdullah Cevdet Yeşil and mother Sonay Yeşil.
"MY SON WAS VERY HARDWORKING"
Father Yeşil told journalists that his son was a hardworking student. Yeşil, expressing that his son very much wanted to study at Ayser Çalık Middle School, said, "It was a successful school, it had good teachers. We did not disappoint him and enrolled him in that school. He was a successful student. He had come second in the practice exam held at the school. They gave him a medal, he was very happy."
"HE LOVED HIS TEACHER VERY MUCH"
Yeşil, stating that his son loved the mathematics teacher Ayla Kara, who also lost her life in the attack, noted the following:
"He loved his late teacher very much. The incident happened while the mathematics teacher was giving a lesson in the classroom. The suspect first shoots the mathematics teacher, then martyrs the children. This is the result. He was successful, he was hardworking. I had a child who was faithful, honest, and loved his country and nation very much. Despite being 11 years old, he was very conscious. Since he was our only child, we are very saddened. May God not bring harm to our country and nation. May his place be paradise, he became an angel. Now, God willing, he is with our Prophet. This is our only consolation." In the armed attack carried out yesterday at Ayser Çalık Middle School, 9 people, 8 of them students and one teacher, lost their lives.
