The photo taken during the meeting between President Erdoğan and President Trump made a big impression. The Presidency of Communications of the Republic announced a written statement regarding the meeting between Erdoğan and Trump in The Hague. The written statement from the Communications Presidency included the following remarks: "Our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, held a meeting with the President of the United States, Donald Trump, in The Hague, where he is attending the NATO Heads of State and Government Summit. The meeting addressed Turkey-U.S. bilateral relations, as well as regional and global issues. President Erdoğan stated that the two countries have great potential in various fields, especially in energy and investment, and emphasized that advancing cooperation in the defense industry would facilitate reaching the total trade volume target of 100 billion dollars."
