Kebab masters and butchers from Adana stated that the most delicious kebab belongs to their city, thus throwing down the gauntlet.

President of the Adana Butchers' Chamber, Saruhan Yağmur, explained that 350-400 tons of meat are consumed at festivals in Adana, saying, "No one has the authority to challenge Adana. Adana Kebab is a legacy from the Ottoman period. Adana Kebab is always number one. Let our citizens come and eat Adana Kebab and decide for themselves. Tons of meat are consumed at festivals in Adana. The province where the most kebab and meat is consumed is Adana. There are people who come from other provinces to eat kebab and return," he said.
"NO ONE HAS THE POWER TO CHALLENGE US"
Adana kebab master Ömer Algan stated that thousands of people from both domestic and international locations flock to the city to eat kebab, saying that such flavor comparisons are not accurate.
Algan, who stated that when kebab is mentioned, Adana kebab comes to mind first in the world, said, "Minced meat kebab completely belongs to this city. People from all over the world flock here to eat kebab. It is made from lamb meat and is ground in a mortar. If the most delicious kebab were to be eaten in provinces like Sivas or Tokat, people would flock there. The place where the most meat is consumed is Adana. The address of meat and kebab is Adana. No one has the power to challenge us," he said.
Murat Avcı, one of the citizens who came to eat kebab, noted that kebab is not as widespread and delicious anywhere else outside of Adana.
