"BIG FIREPOWER STRIKE GROUP" MISSILE EXERCISE
It was reported that a subordinate unit of the "big firepower strike group" affiliated with the North Korean army conducted a missile launch exercise yesterday to test the country's war deterrence and the readiness level of its weapon systems. The missiles launched from the Ryokpho Region, which is under Pyongyang's control, reportedly hit targets in the East Sea (Sea of Japan) after flying a thousand kilometers, emphasizing that the exercise confirmed the operational capability of hypersonic weapon systems.
KIM: WE MUST CONTINUALLY DEVELOP STRIKE WEAPONS
North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un expressed his satisfaction with the success of the missile test, stating, "Through this exercise, we have confirmed that an extremely important technological task has been accomplished in terms of national defense."
Kim, who stated that significant achievements have been made recently in preparing the country's nuclear forces for real war, said, "We must continuously develop military technologies, especially strike weapons. This is an indispensable necessity for self-defense. Additionally, ensuring that enemies continuously and repeatedly realize that our strategic strike tools are always mobilized and lethal is an important and effective method to implement war deterrence."
KIM DRAW ATTENTION TO GLOBAL SECURITY RISKS
Emphasizing that the conducted weapon tests are a measure against the challenging global security environment, North Korean leader Kim stated, "The clear purpose of our activities is to enhance nuclear war deterrence. Recent geopolitical crises and complex international events highlight why this is necessary."
