Wildlife enthusiast YouTuber Graham 'Dingo' Dinkelman passed away on Saturday due to complications from a cobra bite. Dingo, who was bitten by the snake about a month ago, had suffered from anaphylactic shock.

Dingo, a father of three from Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, who was dedicated to wildlife conservation, was kept in an artificial coma in hopes of his body healing.

His wife Kirsty stated, "Dingo fought incredibly hard during this difficult process. We know he was fighting to be with us, and we are grateful for that. However, despite all his strength and resilience, my beloved husband peacefully left us today surrounded by his family," she said.

In 2022, Dingo began to be referred to as "South Africa's Steve Irwin," gaining worldwide recognition especially for his rescue videos involving dangerous reptiles. He had over 100,000 subscribers on YouTube and more than 600,000 followers on Instagram.

Steve Irwin was similarly known as an Australian wildlife expert who gained fame with the show "The Crocodile Hunter" and was recognized for his close encounters with dangerous wild animals. Irwin passed away in 2006 at the age of 44 after being attacked by a stingray while filming at the Great Barrier Reef.

Following Dingo's death, condolence messages poured in from around the world. American YouTuber Jacob Colvin described him as "a truly kind and good-hearted man who deeply cared for animals," while his colleague Dav Kaufman expressed his feelings with the words, "The allergic reaction to the poison and the anaphylactic shock resulting in weeks of coma was a heavy burden even for our strongest. You will be greatly missed, my friend."
