Galatasaray will make an official application to UEFA before the Lille match due to increasing social incidents in France, requesting that the safety of the team and fans be ensured. On the other hand, French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez, speaking about the possibility of matches being postponed, said, "Cancellation of the matches is out of the question. The matches will continue to be played."

Galatasaray is preparing to make an official application to UEFA on security grounds before the critical away match against French team Lille in the 3rd week of the UEFA Champions League.

DECISION TO APPLY TO UEFA

The yellow-and-red management took action due to recently escalating social incidents and protests in France. The club decided to apply to UEFA, the governing body of European football, to ensure the highest level of safety for the supporters traveling with the delegation to the away match.

INCREASE IN SECURITY MEASURES REQUESTED

The main purpose of Galatasaray's official application is to review the security conditions in the region where the match will be played and to ensure that additional security measures for the team's camp process and match day are fully implemented.

STATEMENT FROM THE MINISTER OF THE INTERIOR: 'MATCHES WILL NOT BE POSTPONED'

Meanwhile, after the incidents in France, the postponement of the Paris Saint-Germain - Barcelona and Lille - Galatasaray matches to be played in the Champions League this week had also been on the agenda. French Minister of the Interior Laurent Nunez said that the matches would not be postponed, stating, 'There is no question of canceling the matches. The matches will continue to be played.'
