AK Party Deputy Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, who is one of the names attending the critical meeting in Ankara for the increase in retirement pensions, stated that "We do not have any interim increase work regarding the minimum wage. There should not be such an expectation."

The eyes of approximately 4 million retirees are turned to the inflation adjustment. After 6 months of inflation, the rate of increase in retiree pensions became 24.73 percent. The inflation adjustment is applied to base pensions. The pensions of those whose base pension is 7,710 lira or below, despite the increase, fell below the minimum pension.

THE FIGURE IN THE BACKSTAGE IS 12,000 TL

It was learned that AK Party officials have made a preparation in the figure applied only as the minimum retiree pension. According to the first information reflected in the backstage, it is considered to increase the minimum retiree pension from 10,000 lira to 12,000 lira.

SURPRISE MEETING FOR PENSION INCREASE

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek, AKP Deputy Chairman Mustafa Elitaş, and AK Party Group Deputy Chairman Abdullah Güler will come together.

"A FLAT INCREASE DOES NOT SEEM POSSIBLE"

AK Party officials, on the other hand, stated that "a flat increase for retirees does not seem possible, there is currently only a study on raising the minimum retiree pension above 10,000 TL."

STATEMENT FROM AK PARTY: WE HAVE NO WORK ON MINIMUM WAGE

While the surprise summit in Ankara excites millions of minimum wage earners who are expecting an increase, AK Party Group Deputy Chairman Abdullah Güler spoke clearly about the issue. Güler stated, "We have no interim wage increase work regarding the minimum wage. There should be no such expectation."
