AK Party Deputy Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, who is one of the names attending the critical meeting in Ankara for the increase in retirement pensions, stated that "We do not have any interim increase work regarding the minimum wage. There should not be such an expectation."
The eyes of approximately 4 million retirees are turned to the inflation adjustment. After 6 months of inflation, the rate of increase in retiree pensions became 24.73 percent. The inflation adjustment is applied to base pensions. The pensions of those whose base pension is 7,710 lira or below, despite the increase, fell below the minimum pension.
