One of the leading coaches in Turkish football, Yılmaz Vural, is returning to the Trendyol Super League. Following the resignation of Chairman Levent Mıstıkoğlu, Hatayspor, which will go to elections, announced that Mehmet Şaşmaz, a former president and candidate for the presidency, stated that they have agreed with Yılmaz Vural for the coaching position if they are elected.

Gürboğa stated in his announcement that he is on the board of directors of businessman Mehmet Şaşmaz, who announced his candidacy for the presidency before the extraordinary congress of Hatayspor to be held on January 10. He noted that there is little time left until the general assembly and that it is highly likely that the election will be held with a single list, saying, "Our primary goal is to keep Hatayspor in the league. Secondly, we want to bring back the excitement of football to our Hatay fans and the public and help them forget the pains they have experienced."

Gürboğa explained that they have held various meetings in Portugal, Germany, and Turkey for the coaching position, stating, "We have agreed with Yılmaz Vural, Turkey's experienced, charismatic, and successful coach. Once we are elected at the congress on January 10, we will immediately start working with Coach Yılmaz."

"WE WILL MAKE 6-7 TRANSFERS"

Gürboğa noted that they lifted Hatayspor's transfer ban as of yesterday and that they will make at least 6-7 transfers. He expressed that if they come to power, he will work as the vice president responsible for the youth academy on the board of directors, saying, "We want to support the youth from Hatay and the surrounding areas and ensure that they get playing time in Hatayspor in the coming years."
