In a armed attack on a vehicle that included rapper Canbay in Ümraniye, Istanbul, football player Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı lost his life. As part of the investigation, Canbay's ex-girlfriend Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu was taken into custody. Work related to the incident is ongoing.
In Ümraniye, Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı (21), who is alleged to have acted as a mediator to reconcile rapper Vahap Canbay and singer Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu, was killed as a result of gunfire opened by suspects who arrived in vehicles with flashing lights. The incident occurred on the night of March 19 on Sıddık Street in Ümraniye. According to allegations, rapper Vahap Canbay, who is part of the Canbay & Wolker group, wanted to reconcile with singer Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu, with whom he had recently broken up. Canbay asked his friend Kubilay Kundakçı (21), with whom he had a good relationship, for help. Kubilay Kundakçı, along with Vahap Canbay and his friends, went to the studio where Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu was located. While the group was waiting in the vehicle, it is alleged that suspects arrived at the scene in luxury vehicles with flashing lights and launched an attack. One of the suspects, A. K., opened fire on the group inside the vehicle. Kubilay Kundakçı, a 21-year-old football player, was seriously injured by the bullets. The young man was taken to the hospital but unfortunately could not be saved despite all interventions. The police launched an operation to capture the fugitive suspect A. K., who fled the scene and was identified. Kundakçı's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution morgue to determine the exact cause of death.
"MY SON DIED WHILE TRYING TO DO A GOOD DEED" Waiting in front of the Forensic Medicine Institution, father Cemil Kundakçı stated that his son played football for Kars 36 Spor and had come to Istanbul for the holiday, saying, "My son is 21 years old. He plays football for Kars 36 Spor. I just sent him there this year; it has been 2-3 months since he went. He came for a three-day holiday due to the holiday. My son has artist friends. There are rapper kids from Bağcılar, the duo Canbay & Wolker. They are like brothers, friends. Among them, Vahap Canbay has a girlfriend who is also a singer named Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu. They broke up 15-20 days ago. Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu knows my son Kubilay; their dialogues were good, she liked him. They had a good dialogue. Vahap Canbay loves my son like a brother. They are asking my son for help. They say, 'Aleyna loves you, talk to her for us, I want to reconcile, I want to meet.' And my son went to the studio where Aleyna works in Ümraniye last night with Vahap Canbay and, if I remember correctly, another singer friend named Yalçın," he said.

When he fires, the bullet hits my son. It enters from one side of his body and exits from the other side, and my son passed away in the hospital. Who told him that my son and Vahap Canbay were there? He received information from someone. Who could he get this information from? And it seems that this person who shot my son was in contact with Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu through social media. I received this information. Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu's mother may have directed him.
