Following the school attacks in Şanlıurfa and Kahramanmaraş, a high school student was found to have brought a gun to school in the Tarsus district of Mersin.

Following a series of school attacks in Turkey, a notable incident has now occurred in Mersin. It was revealed that a 12th-grade student at Fatih Anatolian High School in Tarsus district came to school with a pistol.

SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION AND POLICE INTERVENED

Upon noticing the situation around noon, the school administration and school police took action. The weapon on the student was seized and confiscated before any potential danger could occur.

STUDENT TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

The student named M.M.A. was taken under supervision and brought to the District Police Department. It is not yet clear for what purpose the student brought the weapon to school.
