A person who allegedly took a woman's photo in Yalova was beaten by a crowd; the suspect was detained and an investigation into the incident was launched.
Y.A., who was allegedly taking a photo of a woman walking on the street in Yalova, was beaten by citizens in the vicinity. The incident caused panic in the city center.
CHASED BY A CROWD
In the incident that occurred on Barış Street, a woman walking on the street shouted, claiming that the person following her was taking her photo. Upon this, the surrounding citizens began chasing Y.A.
BEATEN IN THE SQUARE
The suspect was caught in the 15 July Democracy and Republic Square and was beaten by the crowd. Police teams were dispatched to the area upon notification.
POLICE TOOK INTO CUSTODY
Police teams took Y.A., whom they rescued from the crowd, into custody. It was alleged that Y.A. tried to delete the images from his phone during the incident. However, initial examinations revealed that no photos of the woman were found.
TAKEN TO HOSPITAL INJURED
Y.A., who was injured in the incident, was taken to Yalova Training and Research Hospital. After treatment, he was taken to the Provincial Police Department. It was reported that the woman filed a complaint.
