An investigation has been launched into 63 accounts on social media that posted content promoting violence following the school attack in Kahramanmaraş.

An investigation has been launched regarding posts made on social media about the attack that occurred at a school in Kahramanmaraş, which killed 9 people.

An investigation has been launched regarding posts made on social media about the armed attack organized at Ayser Çalık Middle School in Kahramanmaraş. Within the scope of the investigation, it was reported that accounts sharing content that encourages violent acts, glorifies the perpetrators, and normalizes the incident have been identified.

INVESTIGATION INTO 63 ACCOUNTS

It was learned that a comprehensive study on the subject is being carried out by the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey Directorate of Communications, the Department of Combating Cyber Crimes, and the relevant Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices. Legal proceedings have been initiated against 63 accounts that attempted to cause outrage by spreading violent images of the attack on social media.
