AK Party Deputy Chairman Kürşat Zorlu announced that Nowruz will be declared an official holiday in Turkey. Zorlu stated that the regulation will gain legal status in the coming months.
AK Party Deputy Chairman, Head of Relations with Turkish States Prof. Dr. Kürşat Zorlu announced in the "Anatolia Asks" program prepared and presented by Millet News Agency Editor-in-Chief Sinan Burhan that Nevruz will be declared an official holiday in Turkey.
"NEVRUZ WILL BE AN OFFICIAL HOLIDAY"
Kürşat Zorlu stated that many efforts are being made under the leadership of our President, expressing that Nevruz will gain official status as a common holiday of the Turkish world. Last year, Nevruz was celebrated for the first time under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Istanbul, and this year it was held with enthusiasm in Gaziantep.
Zorlu said that this step, which citizens are eagerly awaiting, will gain a concrete legal status in the coming months.
