In the Mudanya district of Bursa, a father who entered a water well for cleaning purposes and his 17-year-old son, who tried to rescue him, were affected by methane gas and fell ill. While both individuals were rescued by the intervention of the teams, the son was taken to the hospital for treatment.
A father who entered the well to clean the water well in the historical Kumyaka neighborhood of Mudanya district in Bursa fainted due to methane gas. His 17-year-old son, Efe Akpınar, who wanted to help his father, also fainted from the gas and fell into the well.
TEAMS MOBILIZED
Family members in the cottage, noticing the situation, called the 112 Emergency Call Center for help. Upon the notification, AFAD, fire department, UMKE, health teams, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mudanya Point Teams, gendarmerie, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. With the coordinated efforts of the teams, the father was rescued from the well.
RESUSCITATED WITH CPR
The young man who was pulled from the well was revived on-site by health teams and UMKE with CPR. Efe Akpınar, who received initial treatment in the ambulance, was transferred to Mudanya State Hospital.
Investigations by the teams in the area regarding the incident are ongoing.
