Italian football coaches have called for Israel to be banned from international competitions.

A LETTER WAS WRITTEN FOR THE BAN

According to a report by the Italian ANSA agency, the Italian Coaches Association (AIAC) wrote a letter to the President of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), Gabriele Gravina, requesting that FIFA and UEFA be approached to take action for Gaza and to temporarily ban Israel from international competitions.

AIAC, which announced the initiative to act on behalf of the Palestinian people, described the request as "not only a symbolic act but also a necessary choice that responds to the moral obligation shared by the union led by Renzo Ulivieri."

AIAC President Ulivieri stated, "The human values that form the foundation of sports compel us to resist acts of oppression that have horrific consequences." The union's vice president, Roberto Perondi, commented, "The world is on fire. Many people, like the Palestinians, are suffering. Indifference is unacceptable."

FIRST MATCH ON SEPTEMBER 8

The Italian National Football Team will face Israel in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on September 8 and October 14.
