The monthly detention review of football player Mert Hakan Yandaş, who was arrested in the football betting investigation, was conducted. According to the news from Anadolu Agency's Zeynep Yeşildal; the Peace Criminal Court decided to continue Mert Hakan Yandaş's detention.
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
In the ongoing football betting investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 20 football players, including Galatasaray's Metehan Baltacı and Fenerbahçe's Mert Hakan Yandaş, had been arrested. In the decision document of the Istanbul 10th Peace Criminal Court, it was stated that the suspects Mert Hakan Yandaş, Ersen Dikmen, Kerem Yusuf Sirkeci, and Emircan Çiçek were requested to be arrested for the crime of "match-fixing" as regulated in Law No. 6222 on the Prevention of Violence and Disorder in Sports.
