While all eyes are on the developments in Iran and Syria, a notable meeting took place between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar. In the meeting, an agreement was reached to strengthen the strategic cooperation between the two countries in various areas, including energy, economy, defense, and technology.
Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev received Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, who visited Baku for official talks. During the meeting, it was emphasized that the relations between Azerbaijan and Israel have successfully developed in many areas, particularly in economy and trade, energy, and tourism. The parties also discussed cooperation opportunities in agriculture, water resource management, high technologies, and artificial intelligence.
SAAR: THE BUSINESS FORUM WILL CONTRIBUTE TO RELATIONS
Israeli Foreign Minister Saar stated that leading representatives of the business world accompanied him on his visit, expressing that the Azerbaijan-Israel Business Forum will make significant contributions to the development of economic and commercial relations between the two countries. Saar also thanked President Aliyev for the state-level interest and support shown to the Jewish community in Azerbaijan.

Saar, who also shared a post on social media regarding the meeting, described Aliyev as a visionary leader, stating, "Our common goal is to deepen our partnership in energy, defense, water, agriculture, tourism, and many other areas. We are strengthening our strategic relations."
DAVOS MEETINGS ALSO CAME TO THE AGENDA
In a statement from Aliyev's press service, it was noted that satisfaction was expressed regarding the meeting held a few days ago in Davos between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Israel, where bilateral relations were discussed. The statement emphasized that the relations between the two countries continue to develop in various areas, particularly in trade, economy, energy, and tourism.
BILATERAL MEETINGS AND OTHER CONTACTS
During the meeting, attention was drawn to the role of the intergovernmental commission, and it was reported that the next meeting of the commission is planned to be held soon. It was noted that the parties also had comprehensive exchanges of views on other topics of mutual interest.
On the other hand, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar also held bilateral and inter-delegation meetings with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during his contacts in Baku. Speaking at a joint press conference, Bayramov stated that they also addressed developments in the Middle East, conveying their expectations to Saar for a lasting ceasefire in Gaza.
