In a two-story detached house where cats lived in Sivas, a fire broke out, resulting in the death of 26 cats. The fire was reported to the neighborhood, and fire crews intervened, rescuing 10 cats. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
In a two-story detached house in Sivas where cats were fed, 26 cats died in a fire. The fire broke out around 21:30 in the upper floor of the two-story detached house belonging to N.H. on 8th Street in the Çarşıbaşı neighborhood. It was learned that the house was inhabited only by cats, and the neighbors, noticing the fire for an undetermined reason, reported the situation to the fire department.

The fire department teams of Sivas Municipality, which arrived at the scene in a short time, intervened in the fire. While 26 cats died from smoke inhalation, 10 cats were rescued by the fire department teams. The cats affected by smoke and injured were taken to the veterinarian for treatment. It was learned that animal lover N.H. lived in another house and had allocated this building for the cats. Additionally, it was stated that there were 36 cats in the house.
An investigation has been initiated regarding the fire.
