A nurse named Hazel Dırık Bağrıyanık, who was arrested for allegedly assaulting Deniz Esin Bozoklar when she was just 5 days old, causing her to become physically and mentally disabled, has been found to have assaulted another baby. Footage captured by the hospital's security cameras shows Bağrıyanık slapping the baby. Following the footage, the Kahramanmaraş Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has also launched an investigation into this incident.
A new scandalous footage has emerged in Kahramanmaraş.
The couple Sema-Abdullah Bozoklar welcomed their baby Deniz Esin Bozoklar at Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University Health Application and Research Hospital, where she was placed in an incubator due to being born with low weight. On May 26, 2021, while trying to draw blood from Deniz Esin Bozoklar, the on-duty nurse Hazel Dırık Bağrıyanık found the baby fussy. In response, Bağrıyanık hit baby Bozoklar on the head multiple times and squeezed her legs. During the 14-minute blood procedure, Bağrıyanık allegedly frequently abused Deniz Esin Bozoklar and broke the baby's leg in the process.
ABUSE OF THE BABY WAS REVEALED THANKS TO THE NURSE'S ATTENTION
It was revealed that Deniz Esin Bozoklar had been subjected to violence five days later, on May 31, 2021, thanks to the attention of another nurse. Following this, the hospital management terminated the contract of nurse Hazel Dırık Bağrıyanık, while a lawsuit was filed against her at the 10th Criminal Court of First Instance in Kahramanmaraş, seeking up to 3 years in prison for 'intentional injury.'
FOOTAGE EMERGED
While the trial was ongoing, security camera footage showing the moments of violence against Deniz Esin Bozoklar was revealed. During the hearing held on January 22, where Hazel Dırık Bağrıyanık did not attend, a detention warrant was issued for her. Bağrıyanık, who surrendered to the police in the Dinar district of Afyonkarahisar, was arrested and sent to prison on January 25.
EXPERT IDENTIFIED A SECOND ASSAULT DURING THE SAME SHIFT
On the other hand, the court sent the security camera footage for examination by an expert. The examination revealed that Hazel Dırık Bağrıyanık had assaulted another child before Deniz Esin Bozoklar. After reviewing the footage clearly showing Bağrıyanık slapping the baby she had placed in the crib, the report was sent to the court. Following the report, the court filed a criminal complaint against nurse Hazel Dırık Bağrıyanık with the Kahramanmaraş Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. In the investigation initiated thereafter, the public prosecutor requested the footage from the court.
"I DID IT IN A MOMENT OF NEGLIGENCE"
Hazel Dırık Bağrıyanık expressed her regret for her actions during the court where she was arrested, stating, "I regret it, I did it in a moment of negligence and reflex. I never intended to cause harm."

Additionally, it was revealed that Hazel Dırık Bağrıyanık participated in a 'Course on Approaching Babies with Extremely Low Birth Weight' and shared the certificate she received at the end of the course on her social media account.
