A 25-year-old man, who is claimed to be mentally unstable, first murdered his downstairs neighbor and her son in Mersin, and then killed the owner of a liquor store who refused to give him free drinks. The armed assailant, who fired at a taxi driver that came to the liquor store, was shot and captured after failing to comply with a "stop" warning.

Three murders occurred in the Mithat Paşa neighborhood of the Akdeniz district in Mersin. According to allegations, 25-year-old M.T., who is claimed to be mentally unstable, first killed his downstairs neighbor, a mother and her son, and then the owner of a liquor store who refused to give him free drinks.

The brutality began in an apartment located on 5519 Street in the neighborhood. Allegedly, M.T. (25), who is claimed to be mentally unstable, killed his downstairs neighbor Remziye (50) and her son Mazlum Kaya (26).

THEN HE MURDERED THE OWNER WHO REFUSED TO GIVE FREE DRINKS

After the murder, the suspect left the building and went to a liquor store on Çiftçiler Street in the Merkez Toroslar Arpaçsakarlar neighborhood by a commercial taxi. The suspect, who entered the store, wanted to obtain alcoholic beverages without paying. At that moment, the suspect drew his weapon and fired at the liquor store owner Ahmet Turgut. He then also shot at the taxi driver and fled. The taxi driver escaped unharmed, while Turgut collapsed in a pool of blood in front of the store. The situation was reported to the 112 Emergency Command Center by bystanders. The center dispatched health and numerous police units to the area. Health teams determined that Ahmet Turgut had lost his life during their examination.

HE WAS NEUTRALIZED AFTER DISREGARDING THE 'STOP' WARNING

The police, who cordoned off the area, warned Mustafa T. who was fleeing on foot to 'Stop'. The suspect, who resisted the police, was shot and captured injured. The detained suspect Mustafa T. was taken to the police station.

RELATIVES OF THE DECEASED FAINTED

After the examination at the crime scenes, the bodies of the deceased were taken to the hospital morgue. During this time, the relatives of the deceased who arrived at the scene fainted.
