A video of 17-year-old Atlas Çağlayan, who was stabbed to death in Güngören, Istanbul, has emerged, which he recorded as a child years ago and posted on social media. In the video, Atlas says, "Friends, I said I would show my face at 150 followers. Now I am showing it."
On January 14, around 20:20, an incident occurred in Emek Street, Mehmet Nesih Özmen Neighborhood, Güngören, where a dispute broke out between two groups after leaving a café due to 'side glances', and the argument quickly escalated into a fight. In the knife fight, E.Ç. (15) injured Atlas Çağlayan (17) with a knife referred to as a switchblade.
ATLAS WAS BRUTALLY MURDERED
Despite all the interventions at the hospital, the severely injured Atlas lost his life, and E.Ç. was caught with the weapon used in the crime and taken into custody. E.Ç. was then arrested and sent to a juvenile closed prison.
