Serdar Kılınç (33), who runs a sweet shop in the city, was shot at in July and October. Those moments were captured second by second on security cameras.
The shop owner Kılınç claimed that he has been receiving threatening phone calls and messages from foreign numbers for a while because he has not been paying protection money. It has been learned that the suspects believed to have carried out the incident or incited it have sent messages to Kılınç. The message sent included expressions like "Next time, the bullets will hit one of you directly, just so you know. I will throw a grenade at your shop, either you will pay that money or from now on there will be no sweet shop for you. Just so you know, I am willing to go to prison, are you?"
"I AM BEING THREATENED WITH MY FAMILY" Due to the events that have occurred, Serdar Kılınç, who is anxious, said, "In July, 12-13 shots were fired at my shop at night. I am constantly receiving threats from foreign numbers. A few days ago, again at night, 6 shots were fired at my workplace. After that, they started threatening me, I am being threatened with my family. I am receiving threats that a bomb will be thrown at my shop. We want our state and security forces to intervene in this matter," he said.
"THEY ARE DEMANDING PROTECTION MONEY, WE ARE JUST SIMPLE SHOPKEEPERS" Kılınç said, "We are just simple shopkeepers, they are demanding protection money from us. We do not pay protection money to outsiders as we are the ones providing bread here. We know that our state will help us. In Adana, shopkeepers are fed up with this situation. They have started throwing grenades at shopkeepers, the threats are very serious. Shopkeepers are now starting to close their shutters. The threats are very serious, our state should intervene in this matter as soon as possible so that our shopkeepers can breathe. We are already fed up with this situation," he stated.
