TRUMP TO ATTEND SUMMIT IN EGYPT
After Trump's speech at the Israeli Parliament (Knesset) in Jerusalem, he is expected to move to Tel Aviv to meet with released prisoners and their families. Trump is expected to land in Tel Aviv at 09:20 and depart for Egypt at 13:00.
CEASEFIRE AND PRISONER EXCHANGE AGREEMENT IN GAZA
On October 9, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that in the ongoing negotiations in Egypt, Israel and Hamas had approved the first phase of a ceasefire plan in Gaza. While the agreement was signed in Egypt, it came into effect in the early hours of October 10 with the approval of the Israeli government.
It was announced that after the Israeli army withdrew to the "yellow line" as specified in the agreement, the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip came into effect on the same day at 12:00.
