According to a statement from the Serbian Ministry of Interior, tons of drugs were confiscated during an operation targeting a small agricultural and trading company operating near Krusevac. The ministry also shared footage from the moments of the raid with the public.

"THIS IS A RECORD"

Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dacic described the amount of marijuana seized during the operation as a "record." Dacic reported that 2 individuals connected to the incident were detained, while 1 suspect remains at large.

THERE'S A ROCKET LAUNCHER TOO

During the operation, not only drugs but also a significant amount of weapons were found. Security forces seized 4 long-barreled rifles and 1 anti-tank rocket launcher. Minister Dacic stated that this situation revealed the organized crime aspect of the incident.

Authorities announced that an investigation is ongoing to determine the source of the seized marijuana. In Serbia, which aims to become a member of the European Union (EU), cannabis production is considered illegal, and it is believed that a large portion of the drugs entering the country is sourced from the Middle East and Latin America.
