A fire that broke out in a house in the Yeniköy village of Osmaniye quickly grew due to the successive explosions of kitchen gas cylinders stored inside. The explosions, which caused panic among the residents, created an effect similar to an earthquake in the surrounding area.

The fire started around 7:00 PM in a detached house located next to the cemetery on the Tecirli road in the Yeniköy village, which is affiliated with the central district, where kitchen gas cylinders are sold. Fire crews were dispatched to the area following reports from citizens who saw the flames rising from the house.

During the firefighting efforts, an explosion occurred due to the cylinders stored inside. The moments of the explosion were recorded by a citizen using a mobile phone camera.
EXTINGUISHED IN 3 HOURS
The fire was extinguished after approximately three hours of work by five fire crews. It was learned that no one was in the house during the fire, which prevented loss of life, but the roof of the building collapsed due to the explosions.
An investigation has been initiated to determine the cause of the fire.
