WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
As part of the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a detention order had been issued for social media phenomenon Şeyma Subaşı.
It was learned that Subaşı was abroad, and a capture order was issued for her on December 18. Şeyma Subaşı returned to Turkey from America on December 29 and was detained by the Narcotics Branch teams of the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command after her arrival at Istanbul Airport.
After approximately 5 hours of testimony at the prosecutor's office, Subaşı, whose hair and blood samples were taken at the Forensic Medicine Institution, was released with a travel ban imposed on her. Subaşı's test result was positive.
