AK Party Ordu Deputy İbrahim Ufuk Kaynak made striking statements regarding the Pope's visit to Turkey. Speaking at a program he attended, Kaynak stated that contrary to the claims circulating on social media, there is a much more strategic dimension behind the visit.
Deputy Kaynak stated that there is a strategic dimension behind the Pope's visit to Turkey. Kaynak emphasized that the Pope came to Turkey to "seek power" and that the main purpose of the visit was to gain Ankara's support in order to regain his weakening influence on a global scale. He also expressed that the Pope believes that the only leader who can provide peace and stability in the face of increasing uncertainties worldwide is President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
"THE POPE ASKED FOR HELP FROM ERDOĞAN"
Deputy Kaynak interpreted the Pope's arrival in Turkey with the words "he came to beg," stating that he believes the only leader who can provide peace and stability in the face of increasing uncertainties worldwide is President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Kaynak emphasized that what the Pope requested from Ankara is not a "concession," but rather a matter of power and influence, not something that can be achieved through mutual political interests.
"HE CAME TO REGAIN HIS LOST INFLUENCE"
Kaynak also stated that the Pope has been trying to rebuild his weakening influence in global politics for a long time and therefore sees Turkey's role as critical. Stating that "the Pope asked for help from Turkey to regain his lost power," Kaynak added that the visit carries a much deeper meaning than it appears.
